It’s official! I’m psychic. There, I said it. You know, the word “psychic” is so emotionally charged and has taken on quite a few unsavory meanings. We can thank both Hollywood and opportunistic shysters for that. However, the word “psychic” really means “pertaining to the soul or spirit”. I have grown to love the word… and moreover have grown to love my psychic-ness!
Truth be told, we are all psychic, or at least potentially psychic. What that means to me is that we are all born with an undeniable sixth sense – a sense beyond the basic five senses of sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing. This sixth sense is our psychic sense, our inner knowing, our connection to Spirit… also known as intuition. A psychic person uses their intuition just as much (if not more) than their other senses to receive and perceive messages. Being psychic simply means having highly refined observation and communication skills.
Sounds simple, right? It really is once you re-develop your intuition. I say re-develop because as small children our psychic awareness was in bloom, but unfortunately for the majority of the population, our social conditioning pretty much killed it. The good news is – it’s still there. All you have to do is wake it up and work it out!
Fortunately for me, I was raised by a very psychic man. My dad was able to see people’s auras and frequently entertained us with describing them – their colors and what they meant. He raised me to believe that I could be, do and have whatever I chose – always encouraging my inner strength, spirituality and independence. We were a Catholic family, surrounded by angels and saints and taught early on to communicate with our spirit guides and to trust in the spirit world. All of this has helped form my psychic foundation and it still serves me today, even though I am not a member of any religious group. My spirit is strong.
Through the years, I’ve had numerous psychic experiences and continue to experience them daily. These “knowings” have spared, saved and guided me away from things, circumstances and people that were not in my best interest and toward things, circumstance and people that are in my best interest and that are in alignment with my higher self. I live a life of freedom, fun and fearlessness. I have so much to be grateful for!
I’ve kept my spiritual/psychic life quiet and to myself, as it is very personal. However, as I continue to observe the confusion, sadness, pain, fear and powerlessness that so many people hold on to, I know that they would greatly benefit from what I know. They know what I know too, but they need people like me to remind them – to show them tools and exercises to build their intuitions back up. With a strong intuition comes confidence, guidance, knowing… peace.
So with that, I have indeed come out of the psychic closet! Welcome to my world. With my new-found public psychic life, I have fun and exciting plans to offer psychic development workshops and teleclasses, give readings for guidance and encouragement, and write about developing our super-powers, so that we all may live magical and purpose-filled lives!
I’ve been a teacher for years, as teaching is my life’s purpose. It’s funny looking back… while teaching high school literature, my main focus or reason for being there was always to empower my students to tap into their highest, strongest selves. Shakespeare was my vehicle to get them there… hey, whatever works!
For the last couple of years, I taught entrepreneurs how to brand and promote themselves. Same thing. Our classes primarily consisted of defining their strengths, developing their offerings and focusing on how to better the world with their inherent gifts and talents.
Essentially, I have been teaching psychic development through various subject matter. Well, now we can cut to the chase and work directly on strengthening our psychic sense! I hope you’ll join me on this great adventure!
Visit my website each week for a new “Psychic Building Video Tip” or to read my blog. I will be posting upcoming events, such as workshops and teleclasses in the coming weeks, as well. You can also opt-in my mailing list to be notified of these articles and events. You can find the opt-in box at the bottom, right hand side of the site.
Until we meet again, look for the magic everywhere. It’s there!

Hey lady!
I’m so happy to have found your blog. I found your article on “Selfgrowth.com” with the same title as your post. The funny thing is the phrase “coming out of the psychic closet” has been rolling around in my head for the last few months. In fact, I just got an email reply from a friend today congratulating on coming out of the psychic closet with her. So I have a feeling I was “supposed” to read your post today. 🙂
I’m gradually coming out of the psychic closet, but still feel very uncomfortable with my status, and don’t really know what to call myself. My “thing” seems hard to explain to others in a short easy way that they can understand, but of course I connect with the Divine in just the same way as all other psychics do.
I’m trying to transition from a day job that not longer fits who I am, and struggling to find my new identity.
I really look forward to reading your site. Thanks for being strong and courageous in spirit, so that you can inspire and strengthen others like me.
